November: CABLAB goes to Washington D.C. and presents a record three posters.

October: Audrey sweeps the competitive pumpkin carving  at the annual CABLAB party; Chris continues stalling with regard to circus tricks.

September: Katie Cullen receives an Honors Research Award to fund her Honors Thesis Research. Congratulations Katie!

August:  New Behavioral Neuroscience graduate student Theresa McKim arrives from the Penn State lab of Steve Wilson. Undergrad Soleille Everest joins the lab. Chris Smith receives a prestigious individual NRSA fellowship from NIAAA. Congratulations Chris! The CABLAB attends the Gordon Research Conference on Catecholamines & cab gives her first GRC talk.

Spring 2011

May:    Rachel Hay, Martina Le, and Elly Steel are graduated Carolina Research Scholars from the Psychology Department with honors or highest honors. cab takes a new human hiatus.

April:  Katie Cullen, and Martina Le present posters at the annual UNC Celebration of Undergraduate Research. Vicki Chanon gives a talk at the annual CNS meeting in San Francisco. Katie Kelm receives a prestigious individual NRSA fellowship from NIAAA. Congratulations Katie!

Fall 2010

October: Annual CABlab party takes place; colorful tie-dyes later appear at lab meeting. Katie Kelm brings CABLAB baby #2 into the world. Congratulations Katie!

Summer 2010

June:  The CABlab welcomes visiting Princeton student Jose Lopez for the summer. Chris Smith receives a Graduate Mentor Award. Congratulations Chris! The CABlab (sans cab!) attends the annual Research Society on Alcoholism annual meeting in San Antonio. Chris Smith, Katie Kelm, and Vicki Chanon all present well-received posters and Katie gives a well-received talk. Vicki Chanon receives a prestigious individual NRSA fellowship from NIDA. Congratulations Vicki!

Spring 2010

May:  Ryan Wade is graduated a Carolina Research Scholar from the Psychology Department with honors.

April:  Kat Hamaoui, Ryan Wade, and Elly Steel present posters at the annualUNC Celebration of Undergraduate Research. CABlab goes to Montreal for the CNS meeting, where Vicki Chanon gave a well-received talk and Chris Smith presented a well-received poster. Vicki Chanon, Katie Kelm, and Chris Smith all receive travel awards to attend the annual RSA meeting in June!

March:  Elly Steel is awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship to work in the CABLAB for the Summer of 2010. Congratulations Elly!
