November: First CABlab party takes places; spirited cornhole ensues. CABlab goes to Washington D.C., where Vicki Chanon presented a well-received poster.
October: Ryan Wade joins CABlab as an AGEP Undergraduate Fellow.
September: CABlab hosts its first BBSP rotation student, Jenny Ariansen.
August: CABlab expansion continues with the arrival of Behavioral Neuroscience graduate student Emily Freeman-Daniels.
July: Dr. Boettiger becomes an official member of the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies.
June: CABlab North comes into being with the acquisition of space in neighboring Howell Hall. Undergrad Chandler Sours comes on board.
May: Postdoc Vicki (West) Chanon submits the Boettiger Lab’s first abstract! She’ll be presenting her findings at the Society for Neuroscience meeting in Washington D.C. this Fall. The lab continues expanding with the addition of lab manager Lorelle Babwah, who just graduated from Carolina with honors.
March: Laura Andrews is awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship to work in the CABLAB for the Summer of 2008. Congratulations Laura!
January: The lab continues growing, with the addition of undergrad Laura Andrews.
December: Dr. Boettiger’s latest study published in The Journal of Neuroscience. See media coverage for links to articles and radio interview about the study.
November: First data collected in the lab! Vicki West inaugurates the CABLAB wall of fame with this important milestone.
September: The lab doubles in size! Dr. Vicki West, a freshly minted PhD from the lab of Dr. Joe Hopfinger joins the lab as a postdoctoral fellow. Vicki will apply her expertise in visual attention to studies of abnormal attention in addiction.
The CABLAB arrives at UNC. Carpet selection, moving in and lab set up commences.
